Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking reliable cleaners to join the facilities team for ad hoc, flexible shifts in a shopping centre environment. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, clean, welcoming space for visitors and staff, with responsibilities across all public areas.

Shifts run 12:00pm–8:00pm or 2:00pm–10:00pm, Monday to Sunday, offering flexibility to cover busy periods and staff absence. Training and health & safety guidelines are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of all public areas within the shopping centre.
• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Cleaning toilets and welfare facilities.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Dusting and wiping down surfaces, fixtures, and fittings.
• Maintaining cleanliness in entrances, walkways, and communal areas.
• Reporting maintenance issues or health and safety concerns.
• Following all health and safety procedures and company policies.
• Using cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively.
