Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Cardiff is seeking a Cleanroom Production Operative for a contract until 31/12/25. You will be responsible for manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining quality standards. Ideal candidates will have previous production and cleanroom experience and be comfortable wearing full cleanroom PPE. Own transport is preferred due to working hours.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow work procedures and schematics or receive verbal instructions.
• Perform manufacturing/assembly operations and maintain required daily output.
• Run manual and semi-automated equipment to meet production targets.
• Collaborate with team lead, engineers, and supervisors to improve quality.
• Participate in quality activities, training sessions, and employee activity teams.

Skills

Previous experience in production/warehousing positions

Previous cleanroom experience

Comfortable wearing full cleanroom PPE

Own transport due to working hours and location

Cleanroom Production Operative

Length of contract: Until 31/12/25 (extension likely)

Provisional start date: ASAP

Rate: £13.92 p/h PAYE

Location: Maynard Centre - Cardiff

Shifts: 37.5 hours per week / Mon-Thurs: 5.50am-2pm / 1.50pm-10pm / Fri: 5.50am-1pm / 12.50pm-8pm

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Read and follow work procedures and schematics or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
• Perform manufacturing/assembly operations and various tasks following procedures, bills of materials, work instructions, and process aid sheets. Maintain required daily output
• Required to run manual and semi- automated equipment and ensure production targets are met
• Work with team lead, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency
• Other duties as assigned, and may be asked to be included in quality activities, training sessions, and employee activity teams

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, LICENCES

• Previous experience in production/warehousing positions is essential
• Previous cleanroom experience is ideal
• Being comfortable to wear full cleanroom PPE and follow working guidelines
• Own transport is ideal due to working hours and location
