Job Title: Cleanroom Operator

Job Type: Temporary - 3 Months

Pay Rate: £14 per hour

Location: Leeds LS14 6UF

Shift: Monday to Friday (7.45am - 5pm)

Hours per week: 37.5 hours/week

Overview

Responsible for the manufacture of TissuePatch. The person who holds this position is an integral part of the TissuePatch manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Hands‑on TissuePatch manufacturing, including solution preparation, casting, and cutting out.
  • Cleaning, preparation, and calibration of glassware and equipment before and after production.
  • Cleaning of Clean Rooms before and after production.
  • Routine microbiological monitoring.
  • Filling in batch records.
  • Maintenance of equipment (in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineer).
  • Ensure sufficient stocks of raw materials and solvents (in collaboration with Buyer‑Planner).
  • Goods receipt and booking‑in.
  • General housekeeping duties and maintaining production areas as clean, safe, and efficient work areas.
  • Maintain detailed records of operational activities within the requirements of Tissuemed's Quality System and other (as applicable) Regulatory Standards.
  • Compliance with Tissuemed's HR and EH&S policies and procedures.
Secondary Role (When Required)
  • Hands‑on assistance with final packaging and/or any other Operations duties associated with the manufacturing facility (cleaning, maintenance, and inventory).
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in Class III medical device clean room manufacturing (ideally with experience of chemical handling and production equipment).
  • Reliable self‑starter who collaborates with fellow team members to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multi‑task effectively.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • General understanding of the function of quality in an ISO manufacturing environment.
  • General understanding of EH&S systems for manufacturing operations.

  • Internal: Manufacturing Operations, EH&S, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Research & Development, Finance/Accounting.
  • External: Suppliers, Service Providers.
