Processing Operator - Cleanroom Manufacturing

Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Employment Type: Full‑time, Permanent
Shift Patterns: Alternating shift pattern – Earlies and Lates

About the Role

As a Processing Operator, you will be responsible for producing high‑performance imaging devices in a cleanroom environment. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor processing equipment with accuracy.
  • Maintain detailed production records and report progress to supervisors.
  • Perform inspections using microscopes.
  • Handle chemicals safely as part of specific manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure timely output of devices while meeting quality and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Self‑motivated with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality focus.
  • Ability to multitask in a complex, fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Willingness to work alternating shifts.

Shift Pattern:

  • Week 1: 06:00‑14:00 (Mon‑Thu), 06:00‑13:30 (Fri)
  • Week 2: 13:30‑21:30 (Mon‑Thu), 13:30‑21:00 (Fri)
  • Day Shifts (optional): 07:30‑15:30 (Mon‑Thu), 07:30‑14:45 (Fri)
