Job summary

Team17 Digital Limited is seeking a Team Leader to supervise an on-site cleaning team in a busy distribution centre, ensuring schedules, standards and safety. You will lead by example, manage paperwork, maintain client relationships, and support HR issues per policy while upholding COSHH and Health & Safety compliance.

The role runs 18:00–06:00; training is provided and you will join a friendly, professional team.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience of managing a team.
• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and reflect TC values in all actions.
• Deliver on-site cleaning and waste duties to meet schedules and standards.
• Complete decontamination cleans when requested by the client.
• Maintain customer relationships and ensure expectations are met within specifications.
• Process paperwork accurately and sign off tasks on time.
• Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are safe and in good order.
• Complete periodic cleans to required specification and timescale.
• Support delivery of schedules as needed.
• Ensure staff wear uniform reflecting the TC brand and handover comfortable shift logs.
• Confirm attendance and conduct return-to-work interviews as required.
• Manage early HR issues per policies with HR consultation and diversity considerations.
• Train and induct staff on roles, standards, policies and safety procedures.
• Ensure Health & Safety and COSHH compliance are followed.
• Attend meetings and training as required.

About The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader to manage an on site cleaning team in a busy distribution centre.

Job Purpose

To supervise a team of multi service operatives and ensure service delivery standards and specifications are met and within budget, therefore delivering “green” audits.

Major Accountabilities

• To demonstrate the TC values and lead by example at all times.
• To deliver on site cleaning and waste operative duties ensuring schedules and rotas allow for all areas to be serviced on time to standards and specification
• To complete Decontamination Cleans as and when requested by the Client
• To develop and maintain the relationship with the customer to ensure their expectations are met whilst working within defined specifications.
• To complete and process all necessary paperwork accurately and on time, providing ‘sign off’ for completed tasks as required.
• To ensure all cleaning materials and machinery are available, in good working order and used in a safe manner.
• To ensure all periodical cleans are completed to the required specification and timescale and signed off by the customer.
• To support delivery of the schedules where appropriate and necessary.
• To ensure all staff have the correct uniform and are dressed appropriately to reflect the TC brand.
• To ensure shift handover books are completed and handed over every shift.
• To confirm attendance of all members of staff due in on shift.
• To complete Return to work interviews with team members.
• To manage first stage HR and Employee relations issues in accordance with the company HR Policies and in consultation with an appropriate HR representative recognising and valuing diversity in all cases
• To train and induct all staff in their role, the standards expected, the TC values and company policies, procedures and guidelines
• To ensure all staff are trained in, and adhere to, Health and Safety and COSHH policies and procedures
• To adhere to all company processes, policies and procedures
• To attend meetings & training as and when required by the Company

Role Requirements
