Job Summary

We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Cleaning Team Leader to join our Bradford Schools account at Co‑op Academy Grange, Haycliffe Lane, Bradford BD5 9ET. This role is on‑site based.

Salary: £13.46 per hour.

Amey delivers facilities and estate management services to the Bradford Schools Private Finance Initiative across an estate of 10 schools (7 secondary and 3 Special Educational Needs). We work in partnership with our clients and end‑users to ensure our 24/7 services are delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day‑to‑day operational requirements of the schools.

Standard hours of work are 20 hours per week (3:30 pm – 7:30 pm, Monday – Friday). Work‑life balance and flexibility are key for our success. We empower our people to make choices that are right for them, with hybrid, part‑time and flexible work patterns.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise cleaners within your team, carrying out basic people‑management activity
  • Carry out bi‑weekly cleaning audits for internal improvements
  • Control stock levels and order consumables to ensure service delivery through the correct channels
  • Operate machinery safely and in line with the guidelines and training provided
  • Train cleaners in Amey way modules including 6 monthly refreshers
  • Resolve any concerns or issues raised by team members or escalation to your people manager if you are not able to
  • Carry out any reasonable requests that are directed by your line manager
  • Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract
  • This role will also support both local and business zero‑carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate
