Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a part-time Cleaning Supervisor/ Cleaner for Forth Primary School. The role covers 15 hours per week (7.5 hours as Cleaning Supervisor and 7.5 hours as Cleaner) with shifts 3pm–6pm, Monday to Friday, in a school setting.

The successful candidate will supervise a team of Facility Assistants, monitor cleaning standards, ensure building security, and report health and safety issues.

Qualifications

  • Experience in cleaning supervision is desirable.
  • Ability to monitor cleaning standards and report issues.
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations and safety practices.

Location: Forth Primary School, Main Street, Forth, ML11 8AE

Hours: 15 hours per week on a term time basis (You will work 7.5 hours as Cleaning Supervisor and 7.5 hours as Cleaner)

Work Pattern: Monday - Friday 3pm - 6pm

Hourly Rate: Cleaner £13.80 per hour and Cleaning Supervisor £14.12 - £14.27 per hour

The successful candidate will carry out the cleaning function on floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas, walls etc. You will also be required to monitor standards of cleaning in line with specification/COSHH regulation, reporting any difficult issues to management.

You will be responsible for setting up rooms for lets and being the responsible person on site for reporting health and safety issues.

Supervision of a team of Facility Assistants (Cleaning), including assisting with training; recruitment & selection; maximising attendance; team brief etc.

To carry out the cleaning function on floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas, walls.

To ensure the security of the building is maintained, and act as a key-holder as required.

Monitor standards of cleaning in line with specification/COSHH regulations, reporting any difficult issues to management.
