Job summary

Kindred in St Albans is seeking a hardworking Cleaning Supervisor to lead our on-site cleaning team in an educational building. You will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and support client satisfaction through proactive supervision.

Pay is £13.60 per hour with fixed hours: Monday to Friday, 17:00–20:00. The role requires a reliable commute to Abbey Mill Ln, St Albans, and you will develop schedules, train staff and monitor health and safety compliance.

As a key leader in our on-site operations, you will:

• Empower and motivate your team through comprehensive training and ongoing support.
• Conduct thorough inspections, ensuring strict adherence to health & safety regulations and our rigorous quality standards.
• Efficiently manage stock levels of cleaning materials and supplies, optimising resources.
• Develop and implement effective work schedules, allocating tasks to ensure seamless and efficient workflow.

Minimum requirements:

• Previous cleaning or supervising experience.
• Must be able to commit to working hours as these hours are fixed.
• Can reliably commute to the site location.
• Able to complete the physical demands of the role with reasonable adjustments.
• Complete tasks within a specified timeframe.
• An ability to communicate in English, although English as a first language is not a requirement.

• Strong leadership and team motivation skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations.
• Experience in managing stock levels of cleaning materials and supplies.

Desired Criteria

• Experience within the cleaning or facilities management industry.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., COSHH).
• Proficiency in basic computer applications for tasks such as scheduling and reporting.
• Relevant certifications in cleaning or facilities management.
• Proven experience as a Cleaning Supervisor.
