Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to lead a small team, manage rotas and holidays, and deliver training with accurate records. You will maintain high cleanliness standards and support a safe, hygienic environment.

The ideal candidate will conduct weekly cleaning audits, ensure safety protocols are followed, and be comfortable with potentially heavy equipment and working at heights. COSHH/IOSH training is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must have right to work in the UK.
• Experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Background in cleaning/food manufacturing advantageous.
• Willingness to work at height.
• COSHH and IOSH training desirable.

Responsibilities

About The Role

As Supervisor, you will ensure that cleaning staff perform their duties efficiently, maintain high cleanliness standards, and contribute to a safe and hygienic environment.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Managing a small team, looking after rotas, holidays, and performance and responsible for delivering training to all cleaning operatives and ensuring all records are updated correctly.
• Responsible for conducting cleaning audits on a weekly basis and escalating any areas of concern
• An awareness of the need to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
• This role may require the use of heavy industrial equipment, specialist chemicals and working at heights.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

• You must have Right to Work in the UK
• Excellent communication skills.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• A background working in cleaning/ food manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
• Willingness to work at height.
• COSHH and IOSH trained desirable.
