Job summary

Education Authority is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor at Antrim-Newtownabbey Ashgrove Primary School for 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday afternoons. The role involves supervising cleaning staff, maintaining EA standards, and coordinating with the building manager.

Responsibilities

• Ensure supplies and equipment are requisitioned and maintained within the budget.
• Monitor materials and equipment and advise on suitability.
• Recommend and implement changes to improve economy, standards or ease of operation.
• Ensure cleaning standards meet EA standards.
• Allocate keys to staff and manage end-of-day returns.
• Plan periodic work with service users and report plans to the Area Co-ordinator.
• Maintain records of staff attendance, holidays and absences.
• Maintain records of consumables stocks and equipment inventory.
• Adhere to Health and Safety at Work NI Order 1978 and related regulations.
• Wear protective clothing and safe footwear; report defects.
