Job summary

Ipswich High School is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to oversee the cleaning team on a split AM/PM shift. You will have experience managing others and a solid understanding of cleaning processes, with strong administrative skills including stock ordering and management.

You will allocate duties, monitor standards across the site and ensure health and safety compliance, including COSHH, ensuring daily upkeep across the 6 buildings and Boarding House on the 87‑acre campus along the River Orwell.

Job description

We are looking to appoint a Cleaning Supervisor to oversee our cleaning team working a split shift AM and PM. You will have previous experience in managing others as well as understanding cleaning processes, with good administrative skills including stock ordering and management. You will be responsible for allocating duties and monitoring standards of cleaning across the site, ensuring compliance with health and safety, including COSHH.

Located on an idyllic 87-acre campus on the banks of the River Orwell, Ipswich High School has 6 buildings plus Boarding House to maintain on a daily basis throughout the year.

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Has previous cleaning experience, ideally in a supervisory role
• Is organised, reliable, and able to lead a team effectively
• Takes pride in maintaining high standards
• Can work independently and use initiative
• Has good communication skills
