Monmouthshire County Council’s Cleaning Services is seeking an inspiring leader to head the department, overseeing 145 staff across 67 sites, with operations from 6:00am to 9:00pm.

Job description

We are looking for an inspiring, experienced individual to lead the Cleaning Services department. The successful applicant will need to be an excellent communicator with a proven track record in the efficient and cost effective management of building cleaning. You will require a strong knowledge of Welsh and UK Government’s legislation relating to the national guidance in relation to Publice heath and relevant National Procurement guidelines and frameworks. You will be responsible for the management and Supervision of approximately 145 members of staff and over 67 sites, for 364 days of the year. The management of these staff and sites commences at 6.00am until 9.00pm at night. The post holder will need to implement an inclusive approach ensuring that all team members are suitably trained, supported, and subject to inductions to build a cohesive team with the opportunity to have their voices heard.

Salary - IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Salary would be pro rata if not working full time hours or 52 weeks per year. i.e. 37 hours per week / 32.5 per week for School Teachers

Raglan Depot, NP15 2ER, United Kingdom. This may change in the future if the service location needs to relocate. Relocation or disturbance expenses will not be paid if this happens.
