Job summary

Concept Resources is recruiting a Cleaning Operative in Reading to provide temporary holiday cover for a professional office environment. The role is based on the 3rd Floor of Aquis House with duties including cleaning offices, meeting rooms, toilets, kitchens, and maintaining a clean, presentable workspace.

You will train with the permanent staff on August 14th, then work independently from August 17th to September 2nd, 2026, for 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• DBS required.
• Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Reliable and able to commit to the full assignment.
• Comfortable working independently.
• Able to start on 14th August 2026.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning a small open-plan office.
• Cleaning a number of meeting rooms.
• Cleaning and sanitising toilets.
• Cleaning one kitchen and one kitchenette.
• Vacuuming and mopping floors.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste.
• Wiping and sanitising desks, surfaces and touchpoints.
• Replenishing consumables where required.
• Ensuring the office is left clean and presentable each day.

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Hours: 07:00am – 11:00am, Monday to Friday

Start Date: 14th August 2026

End Date: 2nd September 2026

Hours: 20 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Cleaning Operative to provide temporary holiday cover at a professional office environment in central Reading.

The Role

The position is based on the 3rd Floor of Aquis House and involves maintaining a clean, hygienic and presentable working environment.

Duties will include:

• Cleaning a small open-plan office
  
• Cleaning a number of meeting rooms
  
• Cleaning and sanitising toilets
  
• Cleaning one kitchen and one kitchenette
  
• Vacuuming and mopping floors
  
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste
  
• Wiping and sanitising desks, surfaces and touchpoints

• Ensuring the office is left clean and presentable each day
  

Training & Lone Working

On Friday 14th August , you will work alongside the permanent Cleaning Operative and receive full training on the site, cleaning requirements and procedures.

From Monday 17th August until Wednesday 2nd September , you will be responsible for working independently and completing the cleaning duties each morning.
