Cleaning Operative - Wilkinson Primary School

Grade 2 £23,656 - £24,027 (pro rata) (actual salary £8,248.96- £8,378.32)

From £12.26-12.45 per hour

15 Hours per Week (Term Time Only + Inset Days)

Required September 2025

Wilkinson is a large 2 form entry primary school, situated in Bradley with over 500 pupils on roll aged 2 -11 years. Governors are looking to appoint an experienced Cleaner.

Wilkinson Primary School are looking to appoint, a reliable, flexible and practical individual.The successful candidate will support our school in providing a clean, tidy, hygienic, safe and well maintained, learning environment.

General duties will include ensuring a high standard of cleanliness throughout the school and that security is always maintained to support and safeguard the welfare of all persons using the school premises.

The successful candidate will need to be fit and able to cope with the physical demands of the job, possess good individual and team skills and be ready to deal with a variety of situations and challenges.

There might also be occasional chances to work during school holidays, depending on the school's need for more thorough cleaning.

There will also be a requirement to undertake training appropriate to the post.

Previous experience of cleaning, safe use of chemicals and using cleaning machinery would be desirable but isn’t essential as full training will be given.

At interview, candidates will be asked for photo identification and where applicable proof of qualifications.
