Job summary

A leading cleaning services provider in Sidcup is seeking a reliable Cleaning Operative. In this hands-on role, you will ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in a production environment. Ideal candidates will have great attention to detail and some previous cleaning experience, though training will be provided. Responsibilities

Cleaning Operative

Hourly rate: £12.77 per hour

We’re currently recruiting a Cleaning Operative to join our cleaning team at a production site for 14forty. As a key member of the cleaning operation, you will play an important role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene to support safe and efficient production. If you’re a reliable and detail-focused Cleaning Operative looking for a role you can take pride in, we’d love to hear from you.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Working alongside the production and cleaning teams to ensure the site meets required hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards
• Carrying out routine and deep cleaning of production areas, equipment, and machinery in line with site procedures
• Cleaning and sanitising floors, walls, work surfaces, and touchpoints using approved cleaning chemicals and methods
• Following all health & safety, food safety, and site hygiene regulations at all times
• Responding promptly to spillages and cleaning issues to maintain a safe production environment
• Emptying and disposing of waste in line with site and environmental proceduresMonitoring and restocking cleaning supplies as required
• Completing basic cleaning or hygiene records where necessary

Our ideal Cleaning Operative will:

• Have excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Enjoy working in a hands-on, active role within a production environment
• Ideally have previous cleaning experience in a production, manufacturing, or similar setting (training will be provided)
• Be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to follow procedures accurately
• Have a flexible approach to working hours and tasks
