Job summary

Oasis Academy Fir Vale is seeking a dependable Cleaning Operative to maintain high levels of cleanliness across the Academy. The role requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team, with a focus on safeguarding and professional boundaries with children.

Key responsibilities include cleaning classrooms and shared spaces, promptly responding to cleaning requests, and adhering to health and safety guidelines. Prior cleaning experience in a school setting is desirable.

Qualifications

• Desirable: previous cleaning experience, ideally in a school or similar setting.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and shared spaces to an excellent standard.
• Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests and carry out emergency cleaning when required.
• Follow health and safety procedures and infection control guidelines.
• Use cleaning equipment responsibly and store materials securely.
• Support the wider team with deep cleaning during school holiday periods.
