Job summary

Government Facility Services Ltd is recruiting a Cleaning Operative for HMP Exeter. The role is permanent, full-time (39 hours/week) at HMP Exeter, delivering cleaning tasks to maintain a safe, secure facility.

You will work with skilled colleagues across trades in a supportive team focused on safety and service quality. A positive attitude, COSHH and safety knowledge, and good organisational skills are essential.

Location: HMP Exeter, 30 New North Rd, Exeter EX4 4EX

Salary: £27,276.60 per annum

Contract: Permanent, full time, 39 hours per week

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team at HMP Exeter, a Category B Adult Male local prison.

As a Cleaning Operative you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, and others, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a Cleaning Operative with a combination of:

• Experience of working within a cleaning environment
• Knowledge of COSHH
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.

Future Plans.
