Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited is recruiting a Cleaning Operative for a site near Thurleigh, Bedford. You must be able to travel or live locally as transport links are limited. Working hours are 06:30 to 14:30, Monday to Friday, at a rate of £12.71 per hour.

Applicants should be reliable with good customer service and communication skills since the role is public facing. The site is large and involves standing for the shift and possible light lifting up to 20 kg.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable and commit to shift patterns.
• Experience in cleaning and knowledge of health and safety on site preferable.
• Must have own transport or live locally in Thurleigh.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning duties including hoovering, mopping, sanitising, litter picking and spot cleaning.
• Clean all public and back of house areas including bathrooms, canteen areas, showrooms and offices.
• Work collaboratively with the site team to maintain high cleanliness standards and report hazards or health and safety concerns.
• Be reliable and trustworthy with a can-do attitude and good attention to detail.
• Be able to work on own initiative and maintain hygiene standards without supervision.

We are currently recruiting for one of our long standing clients for Cleaning Operatives based just outside of Bedford. Candidates must be able to drive or live locally as the site is located in Thurleigh with limited public transport.

Working hours are 06:30am - 14:30pm Monday - Friday, pay rate is £12.71 per hour.

Candidates must be reliable and have good customer service and communication skills, as the role will be public facing.

This is a large site so applicants must be OK with being on their feet throughout the whole shift with some manual handling or heavy lifting possible up to 20 kg.

Responsibilities of the Cleaning Operative:

• General cleaning duties including hoovering, mopping, sanitising, litter picking and spot cleaning
• Clean all public and back of house areas including bathrooms, canteen areas, showrooms and office
• Work collaboratively with the site team to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness reporting any hazards or health and safety concerns to sit management
• Be reliable and trustworthy with a can-do attitude and good attention to detail
• Be able to work on own initiative and un-supervised if necessary and take responsibility for maintaining good standards of hygiene.

Requirements of the Cleaning operative:

• Must have own transport to get to the location reliably or live locally in Thurleigh
• Previous cleaning experience and knowledge of health and safety on site is preferable
• Be able to commit to shift patterns, be reliable and trustworthy.
