Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Cleaning Manager to oversee cleaning operations, ensure health and safety compliance, and act as the main point of contact for clients and OCS management. You will lead staff, manage rotas, stock, and reporting to drive hygiene and efficiency on site.

The role requires strong people management, attention to detail, and effective communication. A proactive, reliable approach and experience in HR management will support recruitment, training, and performance

Responsibilities

• Ensure contract operates within H&S policies and procedures and in line with COSHH and risk assessments.
• Serve as the first point of contact for our client and OCS management.
• Collaborate with customer representatives to address specific requirements or concerns.
• Organise staff rotas and complete wage and other administrative paperwork.
• Manage equipment, materials, and stock levels efficiently.
• Assist in training and development of staff and ensure readiness for roles.
• Provide regular reports on operational performance to management.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Implement and monitor cleaning schedules for comprehensive coverage of all areas.
• Address operational issues promptly and find effective solutions.
• Oversee team management, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
• Handle HR responsibilities such as employee relations, grievances, and compliance with employment laws.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
