Job summary

ISS UK Limited is seeking a Hospital Cleaner in Reading, England to provide high-quality domestic cleaning services for patients, staff and visitors within a hospital environment. You will follow infection prevention procedures, respect privacy and dignity, and work across wards, bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.

The role supports the patient experience by maintaining environmental cleanliness and safety in line with health and safety

As a Cleaner with ISS UK, you will provide a high-quality domestic cleaning service to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming hospital for patients, staff and visitors.

The role supports the patient experience by maintaining environmental cleanliness, respecting privacy and dignity, and carrying out tasks sensitively around the needs of people receiving care.

The Role

• Deliver the highest level of cleaning service within your area of responsibility.
• Clean wards, bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets, offices and communal areas in accordance with allocated schedules and agreed standards.
• Clean floors, furniture, fixtures and frequently touched surfaces using the correct products, equipment and colour-coding arrangements.
• Complete routine, periodic, discharge and enhanced cleaning as instructed, following local procedures and clinical guidance.
• Follow infection prevention procedures, including hand hygiene, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and measures to prevent cross-contamination.
• Maintain a safe working environment in line with Health and Safety regulations and standards.
