Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is hiring a Cleaning and Waste Operative to work in a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team. You will perform general cleaning and tidying of all areas, including washrooms and canteens, using appropriate cleaning equipment and products.

Training is provided, and a Basic Disclosure Check may be required. We look for a motivated, reliable individual who can work shifts from 10 pm to 6 am, with 4 days on and 2 off.

Qualifications

• Motivated, reliable and hardworking.
• No previous experience required; full training provided.
• Able to pass Basic Disclosure Check and drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy all warehouse areas, including washrooms and canteens.
• Use cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively.
• Respond to client call-outs and comply with Health & Safety policies.

In your new role as a Cleaning and Waste Operative, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team.

Your duties will include general cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse including washrooms and canteens. You'll use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning products. You will ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies (all training will be provided). You will manage waste disposal.
