Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is hiring a Cleaning and Waste Operative for a warehouse environment on a permanent night shift. You will perform general cleaning, maintain washrooms and canteens, and handle waste disposal while following health and safety guidelines.

Training will be provided and the role requires flexibility and teamwork. Suitable for reliable individuals with no prior experience; a Basic Disclosure Check may be required.

• Ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order
• React quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with Health & Safety legislation and policies

Hours: 8 hours night

Shift Pattern: 10 pm to 6 am, 4 on / 2 off

Contract: Permanent

In your new role as a Cleaning and Waste Operative, you'll be working within a warehouse environment as part of our cleaning and waste team. Your duties will include general cleaning and tidying of all areas within the warehouse including washrooms and canteens. You'll use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and cleaning products. You will ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order. You'll need to react quickly to call-outs from the client and comply with all Health & Safety legislation and policies (all training will be provided). You will manage waste disposal.
