Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Night Shift Cleaning Operative to join the NATS site in Southampton. You will perform cleaning duties across a critical operational environment, logs tasks with Merlin, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Role requires flexibility, reliable work ethic, and willingness to undergo training. This is a full‑time, permanent night position with competitive benefits and a route to career progression within Mitie.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate and read basic English.
• Experience using a CAFM system.
• Previous cleaning experience in commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Log tasks and cleaning checks using the Merlin system on a mobile device.
• Carry out cleaning duties to site standards according to schedules.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and chemicals safely at all times.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and site requirements.
• Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues while delivering excellent service.

Please note, due to the site operations, you will need to pass an SC Clearance to be successful in the role.

Role Responsibilities

• Use the Merlin system via a mobile device to log tasks, complete checks and record cleaning activities.
• Carry out cleaning duties in line with agreed schedules and site standards.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly at all times.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and site requirements.
• Build positive working relationships with customers and colleagues whilst delivering excellent customer service.
