Job summary

Ninestiles An Academy, part of Summit Learning Trust, is seeking reliable cleaners to join an established team responsible for maintaining high cleaning standards across the academy. You will work under the Site Manager, cleaning designated areas and possibly additional areas as required.

We value enthusiasm, flexibility and a commitment to safeguarding. You may need to undertake training, comply with health and safety regulations, and undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and flexible with cleaning duties within a school.
• Previous cleaning experience required.
• Willing to undertake health and safety training and DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning as directed (vacuuming, sweeping, dusting).
• Report health and safety issues to the Site Manager.
• Follow Trust policies and procedures, including H&S.

Ninestiles, an Academy is situated in a large anddiverse site which houses around 1500 students and nearly 230 staff. Parts of the building are Victorian whilstthere are also areas of new build. It isa highly successful academy with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

This is an opportunity to join an established teamof cleaners who work well together to maintain high standards throughout our academy. Each cleaner is responsible for an area andwill be expectedto clean to the frequency and standard set out. At the direction of the SiteManager, you may be asked to clean areas other than your normal area asrequired. It is expected that you will be enthusiastic, flexible and care aboutdoing your job well and will have some previous cleaning experience.

Purpose of Role

Tocarry out cleaning as directed, including vacuuming, sweeping, dustingetc. Report all Health and Safety issuesto the Site Manager on duty and Comply with all the Trusts policies andprocedures, including the Health and Safety policy.

Youmay be required to undertake training as identified as necessary particularlyin relation to machinery/equipment. Itwill be essential that you comply with all Health and Safety regulations andreport any concerns to the Site Manager on duty.

Itis important that you enjoy working within a school environment where you willcome into contact with our learners on occasions. All collegues working at the Ninestiles, anAcademy will be expected to share our commitment to safeguarding and promotingthe welfare of children and young people and successful candidates will berequired to apply for an enhanced DBS check.
