De Lacy Academy in Knottingley is seeking a part-time, permanent Cleaner to join the academy and help maintain a safe, clean environment for students and staff. The role supports the site management team and contributes to a positive learning atmosphere on a busy campus.

The successful applicant will work in a school that has been judged Outstanding by Ofsted, serving around 900 pupils aged 11–16, with strong community ties and extensive CPD opportunities.

Job description

De Lacy Academy are looking to appoint a Cleaner to join our academy in November 2026 on a part time, permanent basis.

Your new role

As a cleaner, you will work as part of the site management team to maintain the cleanliness of the academy site to ensure it is a safe, clean and healthy environment for colleagues and students to work and learn and provides a pleasant environment for visitors.

Exciting Extra-Curricular Experiences

The opportunities that De Lacy offers its students outside the classroom is really exciting with a full suite of extra-curricular experiences in particular recent trips to Paris on a textiles trip and planned ski trip to Italy in 2027. De Lacy also runs regular trips to Delta's offsite outdoor centre in the Yorkshire Dales of Dallowgill.

Holiday Entitlement: minimum 35 days (subject to pro rata if working part-time and dependent upon salary and continuous service) including statutory Bank Holidays.
