Job summary

Witham United Reformed Church is seeking a reliable and friendly cleaner to join our team and help keep our busy church and community centre clean, welcoming and ready for everyone who uses it.

Location: Newland Street, Witham. The role involves cleaning rooms, toilets and shared areas, vacuuming, dusting and bin emptying, plus setting out and putting away tables and chairs for activities. Prior cleaning experience is helpful but not essential, and you will be joining a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors, rooms, toilets and common areas, including vacuuming and dusting.

• Set out and tidy tables/chairs for activities and events.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment in good order.
• Provide a friendly and reliable presence for users of the church and community centre.

The role includes general cleaning of our rooms, toilets and shared areas, vacuuming, dusting and emptying bins, together with some setting out and putting away of tables and chairs for activities.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, takes pride in their work and has a good eye for detail. Previous cleaning experience would be helpful but is not essential.

You will be joining a friendly team in a busy church and community setting.
