Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaner for an evening part-time role at HMRC, Washington, Tyne and Wear. The position is permanent and involves cleaning duties to meet SLAs.

You will work 12.5 hours per week with an evening pattern Mon-Fri 16:30–19:30. Training will be provided, and you’ll be expected to work well in a team and communicate in basic English.

Qualifications

• Basic English communication required.
• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order and meeting all SLAs.
• Build knowledge of designated cleaning area and applicable equipment/chemicals.

In your new role as a Cleaner, you will ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order and meeting all agreed SLAs.

Build your knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, when the work needs to be carried out and all cleaning equipment and chemicals used on the premises while following Health and Safety requirements.

You will need to undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role.

You will be required to work within a team and can work under their own initiative.

You will need to build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivery excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.

In order to be successful in this role you will need have the ability to communicate and read basic English, previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential and have a flexible approach to the role.

You will need to be open, honest, self-driven and determined.

You’ll need to be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.
