Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a part-time Cleaner to join Defence cleaning and facilities teams. This role is contracted to 25 hours per week, with a 50.2 week annual pattern. You will work mornings as per shift pattern and support in maintaining safe, hygienic environments for clients and staff.

We value hands-on cleaners with attention to detail and a flexible approach to shifts. No prior Defence experience is essential, just a committed attitude to delivering high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard.

• Handle spillages quickly and safely.
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste.

Job description

We're currently recruiting a part time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence, contracted to 25 hours per week. As one of our dedicated Cleaners, you will help to deliver on our promise to always create the best and brightest experiences for our clients and customers. If you're a committed Cleaner looking for a role you'll shine in, we've got the position for you.

Here's an idea of what your shift pattern will be:

• Mon: Mornings
• Tues: Mornings
• Weds: Mornings
• Thurs: Mornings
• Fri: Mornings

Please note: This role is contracted to 50.2 weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re‑restocking cleaning supplies.

Our ideal Cleaner will:

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands‑on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
