Meridian Business Support Ltd is helping an established local employer in Tewkesbury recruit a reliable Cleaner for the offices and facilities. The role focuses on keeping the offices clean and presentable, excluding factory areas. It offers stability and a supportive environment with long-term prospects.

Work is part-time at 9 or 10 hours per week across 3–5 days, with hours typically 08:00–17:00. Salary starts around £13.50/hour, rising to about £14.70/hour after probation and with benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience (essential).
• Sound understanding of using cleaning materials, fluids and chemicals safely.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming carpets and mopping hard floors
• Wiping down desks, worktops and other surfaces
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
• Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures and fittings
• Cleaning and maintaining reception areas and meeting rooms
• Cleaning and sanitising toilets and washing facilities
• Ensuring kitchens and shared office areas are kept clean and tidy
• Replenishing consumables such as toilet rolls, hand towels and soap
• Keeping cleaning equipment and supplies tidy and properly stored
• Other general cleaning duties as required to maintain a clean and welcoming environment

The Opportunity

We're recruiting for a reliable and conscientious Cleaner to join a long established local engineering company who have been producing their own premium quality products just off junction 9 of the M5 motorway in Tewkesbury for over 60 years.

You’ll be responsible maintaining a clean, tidy and welcoming environment across offices, reception areas, meeting rooms, break rooms and toilet facilities.

This role doesn't involve cleaning the factory floor or manufacturing areas. Your focus will be on keeping the offices and associated facilities clean and presentable for both employees and visitors to the site.

You’ll be joining a business where people stay long term, with vacancies generally only coming up through growth or retirement.

With plans in place for the company to grow over the next five years, you’ll be joining a stable business that values its people and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised and professional working environment.

Pay & Hours

Working hours: You'll be working nine or ten hours per week over three, four or five days. Hours can be arranged to suit during factory opening times of 08:00-17:00, the factory closes at lunch time on Fridays

Salary: To give you an idea, we're looking to pay around £13.50 per hour, rising to around £14.70 per hour once your probation period is completed and additional benefits are added.
