Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Southampton is seeking a Cleaner to join our team. You will help keep our spaces clean, safe and welcoming with hands-on cleaning tasks and training provided.

£12.71 per hour, 37.5 hours per week, permanent contract. Full training, uniform and PPE provided, plus pension and leave entitlements. No prior experience required—friendly, reliable candidates welcome.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include a range of cleaning tasks, including:

• Mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
• Cleaning toilets, floors and offices
• Emptying bins and sanitising surfaces
• Litter picking within yard and car park areas

This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling, but don't worry—we'll provide all the training and support you need to succeed.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

• Friendly, reliable, and self-motivated
• Able to work independently and manage their own time
• Comfortable communicating with customers and managers
• Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety

Previous cleaning experience is a bonus, but not essential.
