Job summary

Sheffield Springs Academy is seeking a diligent cleaning operative to maintain cleanliness across classrooms and communal areas, using a full range of cleaning equipment. The role requires following schedules and safety procedures.

You will work well independently or as part of a team, uphold security in premises, and have good communication to coordinate with staff. Experience in an education setting is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to use, clean and maintain a full range of cleaning equipment and materials.
• Good understanding of the operational practices and working methods and workschedules involved.
• Understanding and awareness of the related Health and Safety issues associated with cleaning materials, equipment and premises.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to maintain appropriate levels of security in all working areas.
• Ability to work effectively as an individual and part of a team.
• Previous experience of working within an Education setting would be advantageous but not essential.
