The Star is seeking a highly organised individual to help create, maintain and manage a safe learning environment for our young people at Star Salford Academy. The role focuses on keeping facilities clean, safe and well maintained, with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to excellent customer service within the community.

Based at Star Salford Academy, a 5-form entry mixed secondary school for 11 to 16 year-olds, you will work as part of a team to ensure standards are upheld.

The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and technical skills. You will have the ability to effectively problem solve and provide excellent customer service to our community. You will have:

Star Salford Academy is a 5-form entry mixed secondary school for 11 to 16 year-olds, which was opened by Star Academies in September 2023. Like all Star schools, Star Salford Academy has a leadership specialism.

In July 2026, the school had its first Ofsted inspection, securing 'Strong standard' in four areas and 'Expected standard' in one area, reflecting the strong foundations established since the school opened. We were graded 'Needs attention' in one area (specifically attendance), and we are continuing to implement a wide range of strategies with parents, carers and families to improve this.
