Job summary

Redditch Borough Council is recruiting a Cleaner through Opus People Solutions to provide high-quality cleaning and environmental support at St David's House, Queens Cottages and other designated Council premises in Redditch.

The role is based at St Davids Home Redditch B98, working 8am-12pm, Monday to Sunday on a 3-month contract with a review for extension. Applicants will be subject to compliance screening including right to work in the UK and references.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure communal areas, dining areas, corridors and offices are cleaned to a safe, clean and welcoming standard.
  • Work independently to agreed schedules with minimal supervision.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety and COSHH legislation and ensure safe use, storage and disposal of cleaning products and equipment.
  • Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Replenish consumables and report stock shortages promptly.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues, hazards and health and safety concerns.

Working hours: 8am-12pm Mon-Sun

  • Replenish consumables and report stock shortages in a timely manner.
  • Identify and promptly report maintenance issues, environmental hazards and health and safety concerns.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe environment for residents, visitors and staff, escalating concerns appropriately.
  • All offers will be subject to satisfactory compliance screening, including right to work in the UK and references. In addition, due to the nature of the role the appropriate level of criminal record disclosure will be undertaken.
