Job summary

Booker is hiring a part-time Cleaner to maintain cleanliness across our Preston branch. You will perform daily cleaning tasks, stock designated areas, and assist with routine inspections and basic repairs.

The role supports a fast-paced retail environment and requires a reliable, customer-focused approach. The successful candidate will work approximately 19 hours per week with schedules Monday to Thursday evenings and some Friday shifts, reporting to store management.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and maintaining public areas.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and health & safety rules.
• Reliable with a can-do attitude.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning).
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
• Notify management of deficiencies or repairs.
• Make minor repairs and adjust as needed.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms.
• Cooperate with staff and follow safety regulations.

We are looking for a Cleaner to take care of our branch and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties. Cleaning designated facility areas. Performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities. Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects

The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.

You will be responsible for

Cleaner Responsibilities

Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning etc)

Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities

Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects

Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs

Make adjustments and minor repairs

Stock and maintain supply rooms

Cooperate with the rest of the staff

Follow all health and safety regulations
