A leading healthcare services provider is looking for a Cleaner to join the Peninsula Heart Clinic in Plymouth. The role involves maintaining cleanliness in both clinical and non-clinical areas while adhering to Health and Safety and infection control policies. Candidates should have experience in a clinical cleaning environment. This position is crucial in supporting patient care by ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
Regents ParkHealthcare (RPH) is looking for a Cleaner to join our Peninsula Heart Clinic(PHC), based in Plymouth. Peninsula Heart Clinic is a joint venture betweenUniversity Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust and Regent's Park Healthcare (aleading provider of cardiac services with locations across the UK).
The Cleaner at Peninsula Heart Clinic will carry out cleaning duties to the highest standard (both clinical and non-clinical areas of the PHC, including windows and the outside of the building), as well as supporting stores management. A cleaner must have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and commitment to patient services. The cleaning duties involve working to various protocols and procedures and working within clinical guidelines and regulations, which is an important aspect to our organisation.

In no particular order,the type of responsibilities and duties are outlined below:
To follow all Health and Safety,COSHH and Infection Control policies and observe personnel duty of care inrelation to equipment, procedures, and resources, including managingcontractors on site.
To undertake general clinicalcleaning duties in line with pre agreed work plans and schedules that meetthe government clean hospitals audit level.
To ensure all ward areas, theatres/CathLab, clinical, public areas, and staff working areas are kept clean and tidyby damp dusting, dust control mopping, damp mopping.
To partake in and complete deepcleans to remove infections following the agreed infection control policy.
To use the cleaning equipment asinstructed, to keep it clean and free from damage and to report any faults.
To clean and restock sanitary areasand report faults to General Manager.
To collect clinical waste andgeneral waste to external refuse area.
To flush water outlets and submitmonthly records in line with Trust Policy and to undertake water qualitychecks.
To check around the externalfacilities for cleanliness and security.
To take all dirty laundry to thelinen room and collect clean laundry.
To report maintenance faults to GeneralManager.
To check cleaning consumables stock,complete order sheets and put stock away.
To complete training to usespecialist cleaning equipment such as mechanised floor scrubbing machines,buffing, polishing and steaming equipment to maintain and clean areas.
To be responsible for keepingmandatory training up to date.
To attend any relevant trainingcourses as required.
