Job summary

Sir John Deane's Sixth Form College is recruiting a cleaner to cover term-time hours with additional holiday clean-down. Shifts are Monday–Tuesday 4:00pm–6:30pm and Wednesday–Friday 3:30pm–6:00pm, with two weeks of holiday work. The role reports to the Assistant Site Manager and requires DBS disclosure and references.

Start date is as soon as possible, with a closing date of 8 October 2026 and an interview in week starting 12 October 2026. A supportive team and strong College ethos are offered.

Qualifications

  • Experience in cleaning roles, including schools or educational settings.
  • Able to work as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Flexible attitude with punctuality and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning duties to keep college premises hygienic and safe.
  • Follow the site supervisor's instructions and maintain standards.

Role: Cleaner

Hourly rate: £12.83 per hour

Shifts: Monday -Tuesday: 4pm-6:30pm, Wednesday - Friday: 3:30pm-6pm (12.5 hours per week)

Contract type: Permanent - Part time - Term Time plus 2 weeks (clean down during holiday periods)

Reporting to: Assistant Site Manager

About the Role

Sir John Deane's Sixth Form College are currently recruiting a cleaner for the following hours:

Monday - Tuesday: 4pm-6:30pm

Wednesday - Friday: 3:30pm-6pm

You will also be required to do 2 weeks clean down during college holidays

The role

To perform such cleaning duties as may be reasonably specified by the Site Supervisor to ensure that the College premises are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.
