Job summary

ESS – Defence, Energy and Government Services, part of Compass Group UK&I, is recruiting a full-time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence. This role is contracted to 35 hours per week with variable shifts and a focus on delivering excellent customer service.

You will keep environments safe and hygienic, dust, sweep, mop and vacuum designated areas, sanitise touchpoints, restock supplies, and assist with spillages as required at defence and government sites.

Qualifications

• Brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Hands-on approach to cleaning tasks.
• Flexible to shift patterns.
• Cleaning experience in a similar role is welcome but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer.
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard.
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly.
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently.
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste.
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.
