Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Cleaning Operative to ensure equipment and premises are clean, well maintained and safe while meeting SLAs. The role involves learning the cleaning area, equipment and chemicals used on site while completing required training.

You will work in a team, developing positive relationships with customers, delivering excellent service and seeking ways to improve performance and exceed expectations.

Qualifications

• Must have basic English communication and reading ability.
• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Be reliable, flexible, open, honest and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Keep cleaning equipment and areas clean, well maintained and in safe working order.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with customers.
• Follow Health and Safety requirements and complete required training.

Job description

In your new role as a Cleaning Operative you will ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order and meeting all agreed SLAs. Build your knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, when the work needs to be carried out and all cleaning equipment and chemicals used on the premises while following Health and Safety requirements. You will need to undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role. You will be required to work within a team and can work under their own initiative. You will need to build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivery excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.

In order to be successful in this role you will need have the ability to communicate and read basic English, previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential and have a flexible approach to the role. You will need to be open, honest, self-driven and determined. You'll need to be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.
