Job summary

Wetherspoon is seeking a friendly cleaner to join our team in Colwyn Bay. No experience is required; just a positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn. You’ll handle cleaning across customer areas, toilets, bar, kitchen and outside spaces, following SOPs to a high standard.

Hours are 6 per week with shifts across mornings (6:00–8:00) seven days. This on-site role offers extensive training, opportunities to progress into team-leader or other roles, and a supportive, inclusive work

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; a good attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are appreciated.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Willingness to work early shifts and across a seven-day pattern.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness in all areas: customer areas, toilets, bar, kitchen, staff areas and outside spaces.
• Completing daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks following SOPs.
• Using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.
• Monitoring cleaning supplies and notifying the manager when restocking is needed.
• Reporting maintenance and pest-management issues to the on-duty manager.
• Interacting politely with customers and colleagues.
• Completing induction and ongoing refresher training; contributing to improvements.

Job description

Duties include:

• maintaining cleanliness in all areas: customer areas, toilets, bar, kitchen, staff areas and outside spaces
• completing daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks, following standard operating procedures
• following correct procedures when using cleaning chemicals and equipment
• monitoring cleaning supplies and notifying the manager when more are needed
• reporting all maintenance and pest-management issues to the manager on duty
• interacting politely with customers - greeting them, saying `thank you` and `goodbye`
• completing required induction, role-specific and ongoing refresher training and contributing to continuous improvement
