We are currently seeking a reliable, proactive, and safety-focused Cleaning Operative to join our team at the Clitheroe campus. This is a customer-facing role where high standards, flexibility, and attention to detail are essential. You will play a key part in maintaining a clean, safe and professional environment for staff and visitors across the site.
What you'll do:
Deliver high-quality cleaning services across the site to agreed schedules and standards
Carry out additional cleaning measures aligned with health and safety guidance
Complete daily tasks using site-specific cleaning systems, task cards, and colour-coding procedures
Wear appropriate uniform and PPE at all times
Comply with COSHH, Health & Safety, hygiene and infection control policies
Respond to client needs and assist with any reasonable management requests
Report faults with cleaning equipment or building issues to your manager
Support the wider team with cover during absence, holidays or increased demand
What you'll bring:
Experienced in professional cleaning within high-standard or sensitive environments
Strong awareness of COSHH, PPE use, and safe systems of work
Able to work independently and as part of a wider team
Proactive, adaptable, and able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Attention to detail and pride in delivering high standards every time
Confident receiving feedback and using it to improve performance
Desirable (but not essential):
Experience using cleaning equipment (e.g. Karcher, I-Mop)
Specialist cleaning (e.g. carpets, blinds, soft surfaces)
High-level cleaning or previous healthcare/clinical environment experience
