Job summary

Kindred is seeking hardworking cleaners to be based in an educational building in Woking, Surrey. The role involves general cleaning tasks across classrooms and facilities, with a fixed schedule from Monday to Friday, 16:00 to 20:00, at Alpha Road, Chobham, Woking.

You should have previous cleaning experience and knowledge of COSHH, and be able to follow written and spoken instructions. Successful candidates will undergo a DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Follow health and safety regulations and report issues promptly.
• Work independently and support colleagues to maintain high cleanliness standards.

Job description

General Cleaning Tasks:

• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
• Cleaning and sanitising surfaces, touchpoints, and furniture.
• Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
• Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.

Specialist & Deep Cleaning:

• Carrying out periodic deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet cleaning, polishing floors).
• Using appropriate cleaning materials for different surfaces to maintain standards and protect equipment.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Using cleaning equipment safely (e.g., buffers, steamers, vacuums), ensuring proper storage after use.
• Following health & safety regulations, including safe use of cleaning chemicals (COSHH).
• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or damages promptly.

Teamwork & Independence:

• Working independently to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
• Supporting colleagues as needed to ensure high overall cleanliness standards.
