Job Title: Classroom Technician / Assistant - Waste Management

Location: York - Centre based

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Classroom Tutor, to ensure the Waste Management workshop environment is clean, organised and compliant with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Provide technical and practical support to learners, during lessons.
  • Set up practical demonstrations and activities, alongside the Tutor.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to learners within the classroom.
  • Monitor and maintain waste segregation, recycling systems and safety procedures.
  • Ensure that materials and equipment are made available and organised for training sessions.
Qualifications
  • Hold a level 2 qualification, or equivalent experience, in Waste Management, Environmental Services or similar.
  • Hold - or be willing to work towards - a recognised Teaching or Assessing qualification.
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
