Job Title: Classroom Support Worker
Location: Weymouth
Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

About the Role

As a Classroom Support Worker, you’ll be instrumental in helping students reach their full potential. You’ll work closely with teachers and other staff to foster a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored one-on-one and small group support to students.
  • Assist with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
  • Promote positive behaviour and a safe, respectful classroom culture.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to implement effective support strategies.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.

  • Familiarity with classroom management techniques.
To work with GSL Education as a Classroom Support Worker, you should:
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Provide an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.

Please be advised that this role requires strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
