Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Instructional Aide at Broadway Academy at Willow in Cleveland, Ohio. The role supports the Teacher with classroom activities, promotes positive student behavior, and helps with safety and school climate.

Responsibilities include aiding lessons, planning activities, assisting with events, clerical tasks, tech support, and maintaining cleanliness. Requires an Associate degree or Paraprofessional Exam and a background check.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, two years of college coursework, or the Paraprofessional’s Exam completed.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check.
• Ability to meet educational standards and work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with lessons for individuals or groups following plans.
• Help plan classroom activities and support teacher in student/parent relations.
• Assist with school activities (parent nights, meetings, assemblies, events).
• Perform clerical duties (grading papers, making copies).
• Assist teacher in using classroom technology.
• Maintain cleanliness of classroom, lunchroom and other areas.
• Adhere to school philosophy and mission in all activities.
• Perform other duties including field trips, duty, and lunch supervision.
