Job summary

Sapientia Education Trust is seeking a Cover Supervisor for Framingham Earl High School in Norwich. The role supports teacher absences by supervising classes, following lesson instructions, and keeping students on task.

You're expected to communicate clearly, work well in a team, and manage multiple tasks with flexibility. The post is permanent, term-time plus one week, at 20 hours 15 minutes per week, with a probationary period.

Qualifications

• A good level of literacy and numeracy.
• Educated to at least A-Level (or equivalent) standard.
• A degree level qualification, or equivalent, would also be an advantage; however, candidates with relevant experience should not be discouraged from applying.

Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes to cover absences and enable teachers to work on professional duties.
• Give instructions for the lesson as provided by the teacher and keep students on task.
• Respond to general questions and provide feedback to the teacher.
• Cover duties such as form time, break supervision and lunch supervision.
