Job summary

Verwood CE First School and Nursery is seeking a Class Teacher on a fixed-term 0.8 FTE contract from 1 January 2027 to 31 August 2027 to teach Year 4. The role is part-time (1012 annual hours) and covers maternity leave, Tuesday to Friday.

A confident, enthusiastic teacher with KS2 expertise is required. The successful candidate will raise standards across all KS2 areas, work with colleagues and external partners, and contribute to a caring, Christian ethos in a welcoming school.

Verwood CE First School is looking for a Class Teacher - First School to join our fantastic team. Could this be you?

Actual Salary £26,332.80 - £36,281.60 per annum (M1 to M6)

This job is Part Time for 1012 annual hours (0.8 FTE).

It is offered on a Temporary basis until 31-Aug-2027.

Approximate start date 01-Jan-27.

Verwood CE First School and Nursery is looking to recruit a main scale teacher to join their fantastic team on a fixed term basis covering maternity leave from 1st January 2027 until 31st August 2027 on a 0.8 FTE contract. The successful candidate will work Tuesday - Friday each week teaching our wonderful year 4 children. This pattern of work may change as the year progresses based on the needs of the school.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and exceptional teacher who has the knowledge and expertise to ensure all children receive a high standard of education across all aspects of the KS2 curriculum. Could this be you?
