Class Teacher - Oakwood Avenue Primary School
The role

The governors of Oakwood Avenue Primary School are seeking to employ an inspirational, dedicated and skilled teacher for January who will be deployed in Year 4.

They will join an excellent team who are committed to providing learning opportunities of the highest standard. This is a fixed term contract from 1 January 2026 up to 24 July 2026.

Please note we welcome applications from qualified teachers at all levels who may have an interest in this position, however the grade is fixed at M1.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of the National Curriculum and has knowledge of planning within Key Stage 2
  • Aspires to achieve high standards of learning, behaviour and care
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is able to work within a three form year group team of both teachers and teaching assistants
  • Has excellent organisational and classroom management skills
  • Is a reflective practitioner who possesses energy, drive and the ability to be inspirational
  • Is able to use effective formative and summative assessment in order to strive for the highest standards
  • Is not afraid of hard work and going above and beyond for our children
