We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher to join Tollgate Community Junior School on a maternity cover basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the learning and development of motivated and well-behaved children in a supportive and positive school culture.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the school curriculum and schemes of work.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupils' learning needs, progress, and achievements.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse strengths and needs of all pupils.
  • Promote and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, supporting safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
  • Support and contribute to the wider life of the school, including school events, initiatives, and community engagement.
  • Build positive relationships with families and work collaboratively with colleagues as part of the wider staff team.
  • Uphold and promote the school's positive culture and values.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching junior-aged children, with a strong understanding of effective teaching, planning, and assessment.
  • Proven ability to support inclusion and promote positive behaviour in the classroom.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to pupil welfare.
