What skills and experience we're looking for

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Class Teacher to join the supportive and dedicated team at our primary special school for children experiencing difficulties with Communication and Interaction (within the Moderate Learning difficulty range) in April 2026 or sooner if possible. You will be a key part of the team that ensures children reach their goals in a school that nurtures the progress of every individual.

This post offers either an early career or an experienced teacher the opportunity to develop their professional expertise. We are looking for someone who is:

  • An intelligent and reflective practitioner seeking to extend their professional skills
  • Flexible in their approach to school life and positive in outlook
  • Well organised and calm with a systematic approach to learning
  • Able to work as a member of a team, providing motivation and support to colleagues
  • Able to teach within the national curriculum ensuring pupils make progress
