Job summary

Burford Primary & Nursery School is seeking a skilled F2 class teacher to cover maternity leave from November 2026 in a full-time role. The post is based in a one-form entry primary and nursery setting in Arnold, near Nottingham, with a strong emphasis on Early Years and high expectations for learning and behaviour.

You will be child-centred, energetic and committed to creating a happy, safe and language-rich classroom where every child can develop and progress.

Burford Primary & Nursery School is looking for an excellent and enthusiastic F2 teacher to join our team to cover maternity leave.

We are looking for someone who is child-centred, passionate about Early Years and committed to making a real difference. You will have high expectations of yourself and every child, while creating a classroom where children feel happy, safe, valued and excited to learn.

Burford is a one-form entry primary and nursery school on the border of Nottingham City in Arnold. Around 50% of our children are eligible for Pupil Premium. We are a warm, ambitious and hardworking team who keep children at the heart of everything we do.

We have worked hard to create a school full of opportunity, belonging and joy, alongside high expectations for learning and behaviour. We are looking for a teacher who will embrace this and bring energy, creativity and ambition to our F2 classroom.
